Noboribetsu Bear Park is operated by Noboribetsu Cable Way Co., and its official website is bearpark.jp. We are not affiliated with the park, not endorsed by it, and not acting on its behalf. We cannot issue, change or refund a ticket, and we hold no reservations of any kind.

The park's own site is the authority on prices, opening hours and closure dates — check it before you travel, particularly in February and April. We use the park's name here descriptively, to say what this guide is about. If a rights holder believes anything on the site oversteps that, write to us and we will correct it.

Why this site exists

Search for a Noboribetsu bear park tour and the listings that come back sell a bear stop at Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch beside Lake Toya — a different facility, an hour to the west, at about a third of the price. Almost no coach day trip out of Sapporo climbs the ropeway to the park most people mean when they type the name. That distinction decides whether someone's day works out, and no page we found in the search results makes it.

The same goes for the ticket. It is widely written up as something you save money on by booking ahead. You do not: the online price converts to within a few yen of the counter, and the counter takes international cards. What advance booking buys is a shorter morning, which is worth saying plainly rather than dressing up as a discount.
